What it is
Oil from the flesh of the coconut. It is rich in lauric acid, and it is solid in a cool room but melts on contact with skin.
What it does
Oil dissolves oil, so in a cleanser it helps loosen oily grime before it rinses away. It also softens skin.
Why it’s clean
A single plant oil, named plainly on the list. In a rinse-off cleanser it softens without mineral oil; Sea Witch lists none.
