What it is

King trumpet is the largest of the oyster mushrooms, with a thick, meaty white stem and a small brown cap. The list names its species as Pleurotus eryngii.

What it does

It is one of the 25 mushrooms in Shroom Therapy. King trumpet is one of the richest natural sources of ergothioneine, an antioxidant. Like all mushrooms, it contains beta-glucans, sugars that hold water, which add to the mask's soft feel.

Why it’s clean

Named on the list with its species, Pleurotus eryngii, and marked organic. One clearly named ingredient, not a blend name.
