What it is
Lion's mane is a white mushroom that grows on hardwood trees in cascades of soft, icicle-like spines. The list names its species as Hericium erinaceus.
What it does
It is the first of the 25 mushrooms on Shroom Therapy's list, right after the three clays. Lion's mane is rich in polysaccharides and antioxidant compounds. Like all mushrooms, it contains beta-glucans, sugars that hold water, which add to the mask's soft feel.
Why it’s clean
Named on the list with its species, Hericium erinaceus, and marked organic. One clearly named ingredient, not a blend name.
