What it is

Porcini is a stout forest mushroom with a brown cap and a spongy layer of pores where most mushrooms have gills. The list names its species as Boletus edulis.

What it does

It is one of the 25 mushrooms in Shroom Therapy. Porcini is one of the richest natural sources of ergothioneine, an antioxidant. Like all mushrooms, it contains beta-glucans, sugars that hold water, which add to the mask's soft feel.

Why it’s clean

Named on the list with its species, Boletus edulis, and marked organic. One clearly named ingredient, not a blend name.

One formula.

Labels list ingredients from most to least, so where porcini sits gives a rough idea of how much is in the formula.
