What it is
Reishi, called lingzhi in Chinese, is a woody bracket fungus with a glossy, reddish-brown cap that looks lacquered. The list names its species as Ganoderma lingzhi.
What it does
It is one of the 25 mushrooms in Shroom Therapy. Reishi has been valued in East Asian traditional medicine for centuries, and is often called an adaptogen today. It is rich in polysaccharides and triterpenes. Like all mushrooms, it contains beta-glucans, sugars that hold water, which add to the mask's soft feel.
Why it’s clean
Named on the list with its species, Ganoderma lingzhi, and marked organic. One clearly named ingredient, not a blend name.
