What it is

Turkey tail is a thin, leathery bracket fungus that grows in overlapping tiers on dead wood, its caps banded in browns and tans like a turkey's tail. The list names its species as Trametes versicolor.

What it does

It is one of the 25 mushrooms in Shroom Therapy. Turkey tail is rich in beta-glucans and antioxidant phenolic compounds. Like all mushrooms, it contains beta-glucans, sugars that hold water, which add to the mask's soft feel.

Why it’s clean

Named on the list with its species, Trametes versicolor, and marked organic. One clearly named ingredient, not a blend name.
