Questions
Does it contain sulfates?
No. It cleans with coco-glucoside, a mild cleanser made from coconut oil and plant sugar, with sunflower, olive and castor oils to keep skin comfortable.
Does it foam?
No. Sea Witch is a cream cleanser: it massages in like a lotion and rinses clean, without suds.
What does the charcoal do?
Activated charcoal is very porous. In a rinse-off cleanser it helps lift oil and grime so they wash away, and it gives Sea Witch its black colour.
Is the peppermint strong?
You will notice it: cool and fresh. It sits near the end of the ingredient list, so it is a small amount. Keep it away from your eyes.
Can I use it twice a day?
Yes. It is made for morning and night. If your skin starts to feel dry, use it once a day and follow with Avalon.
How big is the bottle?
6 fl oz (177 mL), as printed on the label.
What do the algae do?
Black algae extract and marine phytoplankton, an extract of the microalga Nannochloropsis oculata, are used in skincare to help skin hold moisture and stay soft and conditioned. With peppermint, they're Sea Witch's key ingredients.
